My name is Sonal and I love to talk, blog and watch a whole lot of wrestling so a wrestling blog was the only obvious thing to do! Obsessed with wrestling from across the world with a soft spot for Puroresu, cruiserweights and heels. I can probably be found watching more wrestling than actually sleeping and blogging about pretty much every week.

Hi guys, How crazy has 2020 has been? With everything going on in the world, it seems as if 2021 couldn't come any sooner. However, even with all of this negativity, I think it's vital to try and find some positives. Despite conditions making it hard for the wrestling industry, many companies have thrived during the pandemic. In particular, some wrestlers have managed to make the best out of a bad situation and continue trying to put on shows for fans whether in person or through streaming sites. To mark the end of another year, I'm back with my annual wrestling MVP list of the wrestlers who have stood out this year. Just a quick note, most of the stuff I've watched this year is Japanese wrestling (NJPW, DDT and TJPW)! Yuka Sakazaki 2020 has been a great year for in the sense that I've had the time to fully get into Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling. For me, it's something I regret not doing earlier because it is full of some amazing wrestlers from Miu, Miyu Yamashita...

Hi guys,
It seems like you can't search wrestling without seeing the name 'Bullet Club' and it shows what all the members have done to build wrestling up to be more than just sports entertainment - they've made it a lifestyle. So, when Cody Rhodes, Nick and Matt Jackson (Young Bucks) decided to take a risk and put on a massive wrestling mega show, apart from a few critics, we were 'All In' (sorry about that pun)! They imagined putting on the biggest ever independent wrestling show with talent from all over the world, from different promotions, giving fans a completely different experience! Fast forward to the 1st September and All In became a real thing and set records and sold out in 30 minuted, something none of the guys expected but most of us fans knew would probably happen!
After the announcement, All In stayed in the spotlight whether it was the guys announcing matches or the people who were going to be involved or keeping the hype alive on Youtube! We've heard some mega names being announced like Okada, SCU, Colt Cabana and Stephen Amell in match up's we'd never think to see e.g. Okada v Scurll or Amell v Daniels. These matches have been hyped up by being in segments in Being the Elite like Marty trying to gain weight to match up to Heavyweight Okada (or this being Scurll's last match before going to 205 live - don't be a hater Rainmaker) and the ongoing feud between Amell and Christopher Daniels which started after Daniels framed Amell as famous dick wrestler Joey Ryan's killer *R.I*P*. We definitely can't forget #BookFlip which has got Flip Gordon more over than anyone could've expected from someone who isn't even properly booked! By keeping this all in mind through the months leading up to All In, the guys really knew how to keep excitement building to make this event even bigger than anyone could've thought!
With all the hype, it would've been easier for it to fall short of all expectations - but obviously it was amazing and, from start to finish, it was pure amazement! The amazing-ness even went back to the 31st August where they had Starrcast which probably was a wrestling fans dream.
On the night, we started with a great tag match between SCU and the Briscoes and then the 'Over the Budget' Battle Royal where I got mega excited seeing the Best Friends back together and our Flip win the whole thing as Chico El Luchador. The first hour was enough to get the crowd hyped but to keep them wanting more wrestling! I'm never normally a fan of long shows (I mean I get bored in WWE PPV's) but this had me excited from the first match! I don't want to bore you all with match by match analysis's (because I think you should watch it yourself), but there were some matches that really stood out for me! From my other posts, you'll know I'm a massive Hangman Page fan and his match with Joey Janela (who I'd never watched before) was amazing. Both guys managed to stand on their own and shine and even Penelope Ford had her time to shine. We had a Donkey Kong moment with a Cracker Barrel barrel, a right's of passage from a ladder into a table and the return of the deadman Joey Ryan! Joey's return had a great build up with Penelope scaring Hangman with his old boots (who he started talking too) and then Joey eventually coming out with a parade of inflatable penises - pure wrestling joy!
We then had amazing matches between Cody and Nick Aldis for the NWA Heavyweight championship, the 4 way between Madison Rayne, Chelsea Green, Tessa Blanchard and Britt Baker, Flip v Jay Lethal for the ROH title (where Lethal paid tribute to the Macho Man) and Marty taking Okada to the limit even though he is a Jr Heavyweight - we even got Jericho ambushing Omega at the end of his match! They ended the show with a short but so sweet tag match (which I wish would've been longer) between the Golden Elite (Bucks and Ibushi in adorable matching gear) v Rey Mysterio, Bandido and Fenix which was high flying, high energy and full of amazing spots like Bandido's triple hurricanrana, Matt moonsaulting off the ramp and just generally Rey Mysterio being a boss! It was the perfect way to end such an epic show!
So, now it's finished, what's next? Well it's already done tons for the professional wrestling industry like giving smaller names a platform, making the wrestling community so inclusive and showing the world that amazing wrestling exists outside of the major companies! I'm hoping that the rumours are right about an All In 2 and, if so, I'm hoping I'll have enough money to go!
So, if you haven't watched it, for the love of everything that's pure, go and watch it now! You won't regret it!

Hi guys, For me, New Japan Pro Wrestling has to be one, if not, the best company in the world for giving us amazing wrestling content. With the introduction of their streaming site NJPW World, more worldwide shows and English commentary (from the AMAZING Kevin Kelly) on most of their shows, it’s becoming a massive rival for other massive companies. But, when I started watching it a while back, the whole format was really confusing because it was so different from what I was used too. So, in the lead up to Wrestle Kingdom (which is the biggest show/s of the NJ calendar year), here’s a beginner’s guide to New Japan Pro Wrestling (Shin Nihon Puroresu) for anyone who wants to watch NJPW but has no idea where to start. History New Japan Pro Wrestling was founded in 1972 by wrestling legend Antonio Inoki after he left the Japan Pro Wrestling Alliance promotion. Inoki put himself as the star of the company and drew on the experiences of foreign wrestlers (Gaijin’s) like the Bri...
Hi guys, A few days ago, I published a look at the G1 Climax 30 A Block participants ( https://wrestling-chatter.blogspot.com/2020/09/g1-participants-preview-block.html ) and what a line-up it was. Well, I'm back with a comprehensive guide to the B Block which is as equally exciting and has some huge names. Here is a look at your participants in this years B Block! Tetsuya Naito After narrowly missing out on yet another G1 victory, current IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental champion Naito has more on his mind than just points. Going into a tournament with one title is bad enough, but going in with the top two is going to be a nightmare. As well as trying to win and pick his own WK opponent, he is going to need to beat everyone. The Ungovernable One has a massive target on his back and everyone will be putting their heart into trying to pin the champ. By pinning Naito, they don't even need to win the G1 for a title shot. However, Naito isn't going to let this stress ...
