Top Wrestling MVPs 2020

Hi guys, How crazy has 2020 has been? With everything going on in the world, it seems as if 2021 couldn't come any sooner. However, even with all of this negativity, I think it's vital to try and find some positives.  Despite conditions making it hard for the wrestling industry, many companies have thrived during the pandemic. In particular, some wrestlers have managed to make the best out of a bad situation and continue trying to put on shows for fans whether in person or through streaming sites.  To mark the end of another year, I'm back with my annual wrestling MVP list of the wrestlers who have stood out this year. Just a quick note, most of the stuff I've watched this year is Japanese wrestling (NJPW, DDT and TJPW)! Yuka Sakazaki 2020 has been a great year for in the sense that I've had the time to fully get into Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling. For me, it's something I regret not doing earlier because it is full of some amazing wrestlers from Miu, Miyu Yamashita...

World Tag League Preview

Hi guys, I think I've already made it clear how excited I am for this year's Best of Super Jr tournament. However, in the midst of my excitement, I forgot all about the fact that it was a combined tour with World Tag League, probably because we didn't hear any announcements about the line-up - until now! Just like the BoSJ, this tournament is going to in a single block format and is full of some of your favourite tag teams in Japan. Without further ado, here is my preview of the 2020 World Tag League! FinJuice (Juice Robinson and David Finlay) Will New Japan fans be treated to another round of Happy Beers from last year's World Tag League winners? Well, I'm just happy to see them both teaming together again in Japan. NJPW World Tag League Preview (Part Two)

Hi guys, It's only been a few days since my last post, but I didn't want you waiting too long for the second part of my NJPW World Tag League Preview. If you missed the last one, you can read about the first set of teams here https://wrestling-chatter.blogspot.com/2019/11/njpw-wtl-preview-one.html . So, without further a do, here's part two and the rest of the amazing set of teams set for this year's league! Togi Makabe/ Tomoaki Honma Isn't it a nice surprise to see Tomoaki Honma back in tag league with his GBH partner Makabe. After being on the injured list for a long time, he wasn't in the right shape last year to compete so was replaced with Toa Henare as Makabe's partner. However, the teams back together and Honma is getting back to his old self. His kokeshi rate has improved amazingly and he's really put on some strong showings in tag matches, even if he mostly gets pinned. NJPW World Tag League Preview (Part One)

Hi guys, It's only been a week since the end of NJPW's Junior Tag League and we've already got the announcement for the next tour: World Tag League. For anyone who hasn't watched it before, it's basically the same as Jr Tag League but on a much bigger scale, with more teams and for heavyweights! It's always such a huge deal and the last major tour before the Tokyo Dome with some amazing teams participating, and this year is even bigger and better than before with teams from all factions and a lot of different promotions. What kind of wrestling blogger would I be if I didn't give you a preview of the tour. Because there are so many teams, I'm going to have to do it in two parts. NJPW World Tag League Preview

Hi guys, It's only been a week and a half since the end of Jr Tag League and in less than a week, we've got the start of NJPW's World Tag League (for the heavyweights). It's on a lot bigger scale than the Jr's with more teams and a lot more match ups between all the teams but I am still here to give you guys a little preview of this tour which is also a great lead up to Wrestle Kingdom in January! Since there's 14 teams competing (but in one block not two), I'm going to look at all the teams by faction to make it easier, then look at matches I'm most looking forward to and finally my predictions for the league as well as the other tag matches throughout.  Like always, the tag league is really Taguchi Japan (Main Unit) heavy because of how many people are actually in this faction! We've got a really interesting team of Young Lions Yoshida and Shota Umino which I'm so excited about because they're normally bitter rivals in tag matc...
