Top Wrestling MVPs 2020

Hi guys, How crazy has 2020 has been? With everything going on in the world, it seems as if 2021 couldn't come any sooner. However, even with all of this negativity, I think it's vital to try and find some positives.  Despite conditions making it hard for the wrestling industry, many companies have thrived during the pandemic. In particular, some wrestlers have managed to make the best out of a bad situation and continue trying to put on shows for fans whether in person or through streaming sites.  To mark the end of another year, I'm back with my annual wrestling MVP list of the wrestlers who have stood out this year. Just a quick note, most of the stuff I've watched this year is Japanese wrestling (NJPW, DDT and TJPW)! Yuka Sakazaki 2020 has been a great year for in the sense that I've had the time to fully get into Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling. For me, it's something I regret not doing earlier because it is full of some amazing wrestlers from Miu, Miyu Yamashita...

Power Struggle Jr Tag League Moments

Image
Hi guys, Around a month ago, I had a look at the teams announced for the Power Struggle Super Jr Tag League. This tour all came to an end on Sunday in Osaka and, even though for some reason the tag final was not the main or semi or even semi semi main event of the final date, the entire tour was a great showcase of the calibre of Jr talent not only within NJPW but also CMLL.  So, here are my top 5 matches in the Power Struggle Jr Tag League, but in no specific order because they were all so amazing - Enjoy! Roppongi 3k v Mega Coaches When the line up for the Super Jr Tag League was announced, this was the match that I was most looking forward too in so many ways. With Sho and Yoh going up against their mentor Rocky Romero and fellow coach Taguchi, there was a lot of conflicted fans watching (including myself). From the very start, you knew it was going to be a great match because everyone was already laughing after Sho and Yoh spotted a stain on Taguchi's pants. Howe...

A New 205 Live?

Image
Hi guys, The last few weeks have been monumental for the 205 Live roster and it seems as if the company are finally going to give these superstars a chance. With the announcement sof Drake Maverick (Rockstar Spud) as new 205 Live GM and Triple H taking over the brand, it feels as if we're at a turning point where people will actually see how much these wrestlers can do. After the whole debacle with losing our good ol' King Nev and the whole Enzo Amore scandal, the Cruiserweights needed a new and fresh start and I think it's working! I've always been a fan of 205 Live and I'm not alone because there's an entire fandom population who are devoted to this brand and see talent oozing out in buckets. Unfortunately, that's not been the case with WWE and many of the audiences. I mean it was bad enough that the boys were getting 'this is boring' chants or having people leave before the show (which is ironic because I only bought SD Live tickets...

Enzo more like Enz-No

Image
Hi guys, After last nights Raw, I suddenly got really angry and I didn't really know who to vent too so obviously I turned to the internet. After the horror of Neville losing his Cruiserweight title to Enzo Amore, I didn't know what rubbish WWE were going to give us with the Cruiserweights and 205 Live - probably my favourite part of the wrestling week. Well thank you for not disappointing me WWE and managing to both impress and piss me off at the same time.  The show started off pretty normal with Enzo wanting a celebration without interruption or bodily contact - it showed that, even from the start, there was clear aggravation within the division. Then Enzo came out and started running his mouth as per usual and once again, he has managed to offend superstars and some of the 205 Live Universe *those like me obsessed with 205 Live*. Yes, I understand its a promo that was given to Enzo but he would've had a lot of lee way and probably would've said some of ...
